   Constituency Preparation Proposal for sitting MP/MLA

     On Ground Preparation

Phase 1: Assessing the current status of where (s)he is today

Demographic survey to understand the issues pertaining to different segments of population

Party wise position assessment, image survey at periodic intervals to be apprised of people’s perception at any given time.

Caste and religion percentage of population

Creating a Voters mapping at polling booth level classifying them as swing voters, party loyalists.

Name and numbers of influential members of assembly at booth level
– Having influence on 5+ families at booth level
– Political post holders, elected representatives at block, taluk, village level

Updating the voter information with regards to every detail that candidate has about them. It includes factors like phone numbers, connected with, volunteers or not, availed any scheme and so on

Updating the list of MP/MLA’s team of volunteers and supporters classifying them under categories of their types of contribution (time/resource) and how much

 

Phase 2: Work towards Candidate accessible to all

Reaching out to people with their issues and establishing candidate’s image as their torch bearer for the cause standing by them

Involve youths in leadership development activities and incentivizing them, acknowledging them for motivation

Ensure his/her secretariat is fully functional, (s)he sits everyday and helping people with their issues in taking up their issues with govt. authorities

Creating 1-1 repo with influence makers (those who have influence on 5+ families) at booth level by reaching out to them through calls and personal reach-outs

Attending all social occasions in assembly marriage, last rites, birthdays etc

Organize social gatherings on special occasions – Langar, Get together, cultural programmes

Connecting with youths via youth platforms – social media, FB, twitter, youth camps

Do area wise issue gathering activity and delivering on them wherever it is in his purview and taking it with higher authorities where not in purview and apprising the public transparently on the steps being taking, progress and the efforts MP/MLA is putting on his/her part

Announce/Inaugurate special schemes for assembly

Leadership rally/jan-sabha in assembly

Establishing within his team that he is close to central leadership

Be the first one to reach any venue of occurrence
